KARACHI: The organizer of the ongoing 50-days “Mission Drugs Eliminating Festival” has announced its postponement Tuesday due to present unbearable hot temperature in the metropolis.
This was stated by the Chairman of the Festival Abid Ali, Advocate while addressing the members of its organizing committee.
It may be noted that since last Friday, Karachi is in the grip of scorching heat and temperature daily recorded at around 39-40 C.
The event will not resumed from October 15 with a 50 K.M. long cycle race. The cyclists will paddled various parts of the city and the race will conclude at Liaqatabad fly-over, said the organizer.
In November, the festival will be at its peak with holding of final rounds of various competitions.
The festival is sponsored by government and non-government institutions aimed at to create awareness among the masses about the negative impacts of drug abuse and how to eliminate it from the society.
