KARACHI: Sindh Governor, Mohammad Zubair here on Tuesday appreciated the support extended by the traders and other members of business community to the government in strengthening national economy.
Talking to a delegation of FB Area Association of Trade and Industry, he said stable law and order situation followed by increased investment are major factors leading to poverty alleviation in the country.
Claiming that steady decline could be registered in unemployment rates in the country, he said government fully conscious of its responsibilities was therefore particularly focusing on infrastructure development in the designated trade and industrial areas.
“Infrastructure has been accorded top priority in the Karachi Development Package announced by the federal government,” said the Governor of Sindh.
Government, he said has initiated series of short, mid and long terms schemes to generate economic activities and create employment for the growing population across the country.
“Special attention is being paid towards uninterrupted power supply through wide range of sources including hydro, solar and wind power generating units with the regular oil and gas dependent plants,” he said.
Mohammad Zubair said Sindh is to benefit most from the CPEC project and to actually get materialized the ambition scheme sizable number of infrastructure development projects have to be put in place in Karachi as well as other parts of the province.
“Sincerity of purpose as well absolute commitment of PML-N government has improved GDP rates while all micro and macro economic indicators also reflect constant positivity,” he said.
The delegation led by Javed Salman appreciated the governor for extending needed support to the business community of the province and also appreciated federal government for realizing modern day requirements in Karachi.
