KARACHI: The U.S. Commercial Service (USCS) leads a twenty member delegation of Pakistani companies and government officials to the Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) in Chicago, Illinois, USA from September 30 – Oct 4, 2017.
According to a statement issued here Monday, the WEFTEC 2017 offers thousands of water quality professionals with unparalleled water quality education and training.
It is recognized as the largest annual water and wastewater exhibition and conference in the world.
The show floor provides access to cutting-edge technologies in the field and serves as a forum for business opportunities and networking between attendees.
The participating Pakistani delegation will have the opportunity to gain deeper insights of water and wastewater technologies and business prospects.
Pakistan will be one of more than 71 international delegates led by the USCS.
Highlighting the importance of this exposition and the value to Pakistan’s water and environment sector participants, U.S. Commercial Counselor Steve Knode said, “Our initiative to lead a delegation to WEFTEC demonstrates our interest and commitment to showcase best-in-class U.S. technologies that can assist Pakistan implement water management solutions in a broad range of applications.
The United States is Pakistan’s largest trading partner, and in 2016, USCS led more than 200 Pakistani business people to 15 U.S. states to enhance trade ties between the United States and Pakistan.
