Zubair highlights role of bureaucracy

KARACHI: The bureaucracy has an important role in execution of the governmental policies and ensuring that fruits reach the masses.

This was stated by Sindh Governor, Mohammad Zubair, while talking to participants of the 107th National Management Course who called on him at the Governor House here on Monday.

The Governor said that after the restoration of law and order, the focus of the government was on the public welfare measures.

He further pointed out that under the National Action Plan, the Operation Zarb-i-Azb was initiated whose results were acknowledged by all.

Zubair lauded the role of the Pakistan Army as well as the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for the success of the operation.

He said that after improvement in law and order, the investment also increased.

The Governor pointed out that owing to the government’s steps, there is also a decline in the load shedding and soon this would be eliminated.

He informed that in Karachi development projects worth Rs. 75 billion are being carried out which include K-IV mega water project, Lyari Expressway and Greenline project.

He stated that due to government’s policies the country’s economy is being strengthened. The economic indicators are positive and GDP improved whereas the Pakistan Stock Exchange was also performing well.
