Zubair meets Bohra Community chief at Tahira Masjid

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Mohammad Zubair on Sunday met with the leader of Bohra Community, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, at the Tahiri Masjid in Saddar here.

Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, Dr. Farooq Sattar, and Mayor of Karachi, Wasim Akhar, were also present on the occasion.

The Governor welcomed the arrival of the Bohra Community leader in Karachi in Muharram and hoped that he would also address the Muharram Majalis in the time ahead as well.

He stated that Bohris are the very peaceful community in the province.

Zubair further stated that the arrival of Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin also spokes of the betterment in the law and order in the metropolis.

He pointed out that Karachi is the commercial hub of the country and the Bohra Community has important role towards the economic activities in Karachi.

The Bohra Community chief praised the measures undertaken by the

government and the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for the restoration of peace and law and order in Karachi.

Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin remarked that the initiation of development projects in the metropolis augurs well and that completion of these would help provide people excellent travel facilities.

He pointed out that strict security measures have been taken during Muharram. The cooperation of the people is also necessary towards maintenance of law and order.

He said that Ulema from various schools of thought are unanimous for fostering sectarian harmony.
