KARACHI: President of the Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association of Pakistan Muhammad Shakir Umar Gujjar has requested the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to allow the sale of dairy and meat products during the Effective Lockdown Period, which starts from 8pm to 8am in the province, here on Wednesday.
He said that milk and meat were the essential commodities and these were in daily use of the people, according to a statement here.
He said that the milk and meat provided rich vitamins to keep the nation healthy and keeping in view that thing the sale of these commodities should be allowed during the period.
Shakir Gujjar said that in this difficult time, in which the people were easily affected by the Coronavirus, the milk and meat products provided them with vitamins to remain healthy.
Adding that if the dairy and meat products were not allowed to be sold during the lockdown then it could cause rush at the dairy shops and that would also affect the sale.
He urged the Chief Minister Sindh to allow them to supply and sale their products and also allow the veterinary doctors to perform their duties.
