7,000 rescuers to remain high alert on Eid

LAHORE: The Rescue 1122 services will be provided to people during Eidul Azha in all district of the province.

Leaves of rescuers have been restricted and over 7,000 emergency medical technicians, fire rescuers, computer telephone wireless operators supervised by rescue and safety officers and district emergency officers will be available during Eid holidays.

A plan to provide emergency medical cover was presented to Director Brig ® Dr Arshad Zia during a meeting held at Rescue 1122 Headquarters on Thursday.

Dr Arshad Zia was briefed by the provincial monitoring cell that emergency plans for Eidul Azha had been chalked out and implemented in all districts of Punjab in close coordination with district administrations.

In the city, the Rescue 1122 staff will remain on special duties in a district control room along with emergency rescue stations, 29 fully equipped emergency ambulances, 14 fire vehicles, four rescue vehicles, one water rescue vehicle and a disaster rescue team.
