‘New bio-metric machines to be installed to arrest POs’

LAHORE: Additional IG Patrolling Amjid Javid Saleemi said that new Bio-metric machines would be installed to arrest the proclaimed offenders.

Presiding over a meeting on monthly performance review of September 2017 in Cental Police Office here on Wednesday, he said the machines had direct access to NADRA and Criminal Record Office (CRO). He advised all supervisory officers to remove encroachments within 15 days and got help from relevant departments.

He called explanation of SP Gujranwala, Inspector Gujranwala, Sialkot and DSP Rawalpindi on their poor performance.

The Addl IG directed all officers to visit the checkposts of DG Khan, Rajanpur, Sargodha and RY Khan.

Funds had been issued to all regions, he said and added that officers should make sure their spending and in case of any corruption strict action be taken. He said that funds for Police lines Jia Baga Lahore and Regional Office Bahawalpur had been issued.

He directed the officers to start construction work as early as possible and keep check on the standard of construction. It was decided in the meeting that PHP Welfare projects should be started which would benefit both employees and department. It was also informed in the meeting that recovery of traffic challan has reached at 81 percent which is a good omen. The main objective of challan is not to disturb public but to save their lives and valuables.

DIG Patrolling Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, SSP Headquarters Imran Kishwar, SSP Lahore Babar Bakaht Qureshi, SP Multan Humma Naseeb, SP Faisalabad Umme Salma, SP Sargodha Hassan Jamil Haddir and SP Gujranwala Masood Raza participated in meeting.
