PPP raises question on Nawaz’s London visit

LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Central Information Secretary Nafeesa Shah on Wednesday said that the Sharif family was trying to make Panama scandal an issue “respect for vote”.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Wednesday, she while raising question on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Britain said that he was the main reason behind weakening parliament.

The PPP information secretary said that her party wants elections to be held on time because the party’s interest is tied with the people.

Taking a jibe at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), She said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was no utopian state… it also has administrative flaws. “We did not give Sindh orange train service but worked for public welfare,” she added.

She accused that PTI chairman Imran Khan has destroyed provincial ehtesab commission, while Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has destroyed cultural heritage in Punjab.

Speaking on the occasion, PPP leader Chaudhry Manzoor said that the PTI was doubting on its own party.

He wished Imran Khan could expel those whom Supreme Court had disqualified and the one who was being case was being investigation by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
