LAHORE:A seminar was held at Model Town here on Sunday on the eve of ‘white cane safety day’.
Former chief justice Lahore High Court Allah Nawaz presided over the event. Fomer president Lahore High Court Bar Jahangir A Jojha, Mian Mehmood Nawaz, Maqsood Chaughtai, Mian Mubarak Ali, Shamshad Bashir, Dr Momin, Iqbal Khichi, Sharif Rasool, Tuqeer Ahmed, Mujtiba Hasnain, Dr Nida and Anmol Gohar were also include among those who spoke on the occasion.
The speakers highlighted importance of white cane safety and urged people to pay due attention towards rights of blind persons.
They said that Allah has obliged the visually impaired persons with special abilities and they can become very useful citizens of the society by using these abilities. They said that the special training opportunities need to be provided to such persons for using their talent.
The speakers also urged citizens to cooperate with blind persons so that they could perform their role with a sense of equality in the society.
