Shehbaz Sharif gives cash prizes to Dolphin Force jawans

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif here Sunday gave away commendatory certificates and cash prizes to Dolphin Force Shadman Sector’s Jawans, who arrested criminal elements by taking timely action.

Speaking on this occation, the Chief Minister appriciated Dolphin Force for performing their duties efficiently, adding that citizens had high expectations form the new force that had been brought to the field after getting best training with resources of billions of rupees to protect the people’s life and properties.

Shehbaz Sharif said, the Dolphin Force became real protector of the people through its best performance with regard to controlling street crime, and hoped that they would work with same spirit in future as well.

“By rendering their duties, they would be blessed in this world and the world hereafter,” he added.

The Chief Minister said that provision of sense of protection to the people of their life and property would be their success, and if they would move forward with revolutionary thinking and act, they would definitely succeed in controlling crimes in streets and mohallahs.

Trained on modern lines, he said, the Dolphin Force was a new face of Punjab police and it was not for any VIP but prepared for safeguarding life and property of common man.

He said that Dolphin Force would have to reject the evils of Safarish, bribe, dishonesty and nepotism for provision of justice.

The Jawans of Dolphin Force would perform their duties by becoming citizens’ friends and well-wishers, he maintained.

The Chief Minister was confident that Dolphin Force would earn good repute among the masses and would raise image of Punjab police. He said that accountability was also necessary to improve performance of this force.

While, the Punjab IG Police Mushtaq Sukhera said that Dolphin Force

had been given modern training in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister and this force was working hard for the elimination of street crime.

Lahore CCPO Lahore Capt.® Amin Vains, DIG Operations Dr. Haider Ashraf and SP Dolphin Force Syed Karar were also present. Jawans of Dolphin Force, who called on the Chief Minister included Shadman Sector Incharge Waqar Afzal, Waqas Safdar, Ashgar Ali, Sajid Majeed and Abdul Rehman.

It is to mention that during checking in the area of Shadman, Dolphin Force stopped three persons riding motorcycle, however they managed to escape, upon which, Dolphin Force squad chased and arrested them.

Weapons were also recovered from the criminals and they were handed over to police. The accused have also confessed to dacoities.
