Welfare of Punjab police first priority: IGP

LAHORE: Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Capt ® Arif Nawaz Khan has said that welfare of Punjab police is his first priority.

He directed the officers concerned to ensure the completion of on-going welfare projects in all districts of the province as soon as possible.

He said this while reviewing the construction works of offices of elite centre and barracks, the adjacent police residential flats, at Bedian road here on Wednesday.

DIG Development Kamran Khan while briefing the IGP, said that residential flats were the project for the employees of Punjab Constabulary, while the construction work of barracks was in progress with a brisk pace which would be completed within the current financial year.

Inspecting the various under-construction barracks and flats, the IGP Punjab directed the DIG Development Kamran Khan not to comprise on the construction work at any level and to ensure its completion as soon as possible.
