QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has thanked Pak Army and other law enforcement agencies for playing a remarkable role in restoration of peace in Balochistan.
He was addressing a seminar on sustainable development of Balochistan, here on Monday which was jointly organized by the Balochistan government and Southern Command.
He said: “When the coalition government took charge in 2013, innocent people including teachers were being killed by terrorists,” adding that but our Army and security forces played very important role in restoration of peace in Balochistan, due to which situation returned to normalcy.
He said that the civil and military leadership were on same page in making joint efforts to put Balochistan on track of development. He said that upcoming budget of Balochistan would be finalized following suggestions furnished in Monday seminar.
He said that if a dam was constructed on Bolan river, it would increased underground water level besides we could generate power from it.
He said that his government would continue providing scholarships and laptops to students. He said that he had vision of constructing motorways from Zhob to Quetta, Chaman to Taftan and Hub to Jaffarabad as saying development of a region linked with communication structure.
Commander Southern Command, Lt-General. Aamir Riaz, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Additional Chief Secretary Balochistan and other officials were also present.
