Increasing ratio of educated females in Balochistan a positive change: Governor Balochistan

QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Jutsice (R) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai on Friday said the promotion of higher education and increasing ratio of educated females in the province is a positive and welcoming change.

It displays the evidence of the effective steps taken by incumbent for the educational development of Balochistan.

He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the newly establish city campus of University of Balochistan, held here. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal, a large number of faculty members and students of the city campus were also present on this occasion.

University of Balochistan City Campus currently comprises of the departments of Physiotherapy and Eastern Medicine.

Governor Balochistan said that the physiotherapy department has a great significance; with the development of this sector hundreds of patients would receive medical amenities on local-level, for which they travel to other provinces.

Governor Balochistan on this occasion ensured the provision of all necessary facilities to the city campus including construction of computer lab.

He applauded the strenuous efforts made by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal and his team, saying that if they would continue their mission of promoting education, then that day is not far when Balochistan would have students from other provinces to gain higher education degrees here.

Later, Governor Balochistan distributed Shields among students for high academic performance.
