Iran defeat India 15-0 in West Asia Baseball Championship

ISLAMABAD: Iran trounced India 15-0 in their opening match of 12th West Asia Baseball Championship on Tuesday here at Pakistan Sports Complex.

Indian players tried their best to score some runs but the resolute Iranians provided them no chance. Iran’s Majid, Yameen, Jalil Hassan Zaib scored three runs apiece. Neema scored two runs, while Yasir, Abdullah, Asghar scored one run each to ensure victory for their team. Iran’s Rajab performed great pitching.

Besides others the contest was witnessed by Secretary Softball Federation Haidar Khan Lehri, President Pakistan Baseball Federation Syed Khawar Shah, President Islamabad Baseball Association Tahir Mehmood and Chief Organizer Mussadaq Ahmed. Fixtures for Wednesday: India vs Iraq at 11:00am.
