PIMA starts specialists medical camps for IDPs

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) has started specialists’ medical camps in Bannu for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan Agency.

A spokesman of PIMA, Abdul Wadood told that so far the association provided medical treatment to 8710 IDPs, adding that from last two months PIMA is busy in providing medical relief to the IDPs, living in Bannu, Lakki, Sarai Naurang and Dera Ismail Khan.

Giving details, the spokesman said that the camps would include ten specialist doctors, medical students, paramedical staff and volunteers.

He said that Mobile medical clinics have also initiated relief activities that would help mitigate the sufferings of the ailing persons.
