DC Larkana reviews September polio eradication campaign

Larkana:A review meeting of the September 2026 National Polio Eradication Campaign was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Larkana Tariq Manzoor Chandio.All Assistant Commissioners of Larkana district, Taluka Health Officers, Medical Superintendents of main hospitals, partners of the District Emergency Operations Center, and representatives of relevant departments participated in the meeting.



District Health Officer (DHO) Larkana Dr. Shaukat Ali Abro, National Stop Transmission of Polio Officer Dr. Ayaz Ahmed Memon, and World Health Organization representative Dr. Liaquat Ali briefed the Deputy Commissioner Larkana on the performance of the September 2026 campaign. A detailed review of the campaign was also conducted.



According to the briefing, the administrative and monitoring coverage ratio in all talukas remained above 95 percent. In addition, all lots under the independent monitoring process, Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS), remained successful.



Deputy Commissioner Larkana Tariq Manzoor Chandio appreciated the joint and dedicated efforts of all stakeholders in making the September 2026 campaign successful and stressed that all relevant stakeholders should demonstrate their full commitment.



He further directed that micro-planning and training activities should be carried out with utmost thoroughness so that no child remains left out of the campaign and no shortcoming or deficiency remains in the process of enhancing work capacity.



The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of all participants and directed them to continue working with the same spirit for the upcoming campaign.
