Dera ismail khan:On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, Assistant Commissioner Dr Hamid visited the ongoing flyover project along with the SDO of Communication and Works Department, NESPAK Project Manager and the contractor concerned to review the pace of construction work.
The Assistant Commissioner expressed concern over the slow pace of work and inadequate implementation of safety protocols, directing the authorities and contractor to accelerate construction and ensure strict compliance with safety measures.
He directed that the drainage work causing inconvenience to local residents be completed within seven days and asked the WAPDA authorities to take immediate steps for shifting installations obstructing the work.
A decision was also taken to launch an operation for clearing the right of way of service roads to improve their width and traffic flow. The concerned contractor was directed to immediately mobilize all required machinery at the site.
Dr Hamid made it clear that no negligence or delay in the project would be tolerated, as prolonged construction was causing inconvenience to a large number of citizens. He also directed daily water sprinkling to control dust and soil during construction.
A report containing observations and directives issued during the visit was forwarded to the relevant departments for further action and compliance.
