Multan:Chairman Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) Lieutenant General (R) Muhammad Abdul Aziz, laid the foundation stone of the PPSC Regional Office and Facilitation Centre in Multan.
Commissioner Multan division Aamir Karim Khan, Deputy Commissioner Dr Faisal Saleem, PPSC Member Dr Irshad Ahmed and other relevant officers attended the ceremony.
The Regional Office and Facilitation Centre will be constructed on an area of 9 kanal and one marla, with a total covered area of 112,688 square feet. An additional 40,710 square feet has been reserved for future expansion.
The project has been approved at a cost of Rs964.983 million and is scheduled to be completed within 24 months, by March 2028.
The facility will include offices for the chairman, members and officers, examination halls, a conference hall and other essential facilities. The project will also feature two lifts, a firefighting system, CCTV surveillance, networking infrastructure and a modern security system.
The site for construction of the PPSC Regional Office was formally handed over on October 3, while the contractor has also started the mobilization process.
