Islamabad: Innovation unfolding as the Islamabad Traffic Police expands mobile facilitation vans across Islamabad delivering state-of-the-art doorstep services through a dynamic weekly schedule widely circulated on social media platforms for citizen awareness.

During a media channel interaction, Islamabad’s woman Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Kainat Azhar Khan said that the updated facilitation van schedule allows residents of Islamabad to access licensing and document services close to home without the need to travel to traffic offices.

Operating Monday to Sunday, the mobile vans follow a continuously revised weekly plan, ensuring fair distribution of services across multiple locations in the capital, she said, adding, the schedule is updated regularly to improve coverage and accessibility.

The system, introduced by the Islamabad Traffic Police, represents a modern approach to public service delivery through mobility and digital integration.

She further explained that ITP is regularly sharing the facilitation van schedule through Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp groups, ensuring citizens of Islamabad stay informed about upcoming visits to different locations across the federal capital. This digital outreach helps residents easily track mobile service points and access traffic-related facilities without visiting offices.

As per the announced plan, the facilitation vans will operate daily from 8: 30 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m., offering a wide range of services including learner driving permits, license renewals, duplicate driving licenses, character certificates and reporting of lost or missing documents, bringing essential services directly to the public through a mobile, efficient system.

While responding to a question, she praised the government’s modernization drive, stating that upgraded digital services have strengthened the operational capacity of the Islamabad Traffic Police in Islamabad.

She added that these improvements are aimed at providing faster, more transparent and convenient public

services.

She further emphasized that strict adherence to traffic rules is essential, as Safe City cameras continuously monitor movement across the capital. This surveillance framework supports enforcement, discourages violations, and promotes safer driving habits.

Islamabad: Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, highlighting religious coexistence, communal peace, and mutual understanding among faiths, stated that safeguarding places of worship is a core duty of the state and stressed that any attempt to change their legal status will not be tolerated.

In his interaction with the media channels, he reiterated that safeguarding places of worship is a national and moral responsibility of the state and warned firmly against any attempt to modify their legal status.

He said that people should respect each other’ s religions and work towards strengthening social unity, tolerance, and patience in society, adding mutual respect among all faiths is essential for peaceful coexistence and national harmony.

He further stated that promoting understanding between different religious communities can help reduce tensions and build a more stable and inclusive society.

Ulema further said patience and respect are key values needed to maintain long-term peace.

He added that collective efforts are required from all segments of society to uphold these values and ensure that unity and harmony remain strong in the country.

He noted that Pakistan has ensured full religious freedom for all faiths and is working to expand religious tourism while providing a safe and peaceful atmosphere for Sikh and other minority communities, adding, authorities are taking steps to support pilgrims during their visits.

He added that maintaining interfaith harmony and respect among all communities remains a priority, adding,

improved arrangements at religious places are part of ongoing efforts to promote tourism and tolerance.

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid rich tributes to the hero of the Kargil War (1999), Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider, on his 27th martyrdom anniversary, and appreciated his great sacrifice and unparalleled bravery.

In a statement, he said, “The extraordinary bravery and eternal sacrifice of Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed in the most adverse circumstances is a shining chapter in the military history of Pakistan, which is a testimony to the highest traditions of loyalty to the motherland and bravery.”

“Defence of the beloved homeland is a sacred duty, and the great sacrifices made by the sons of the pure land are the guarantor of our peace and sovereignty today,” he added.

He reiterated the firm resolve of the government and the people of Pakistan that they stand shoulder to shoulder with their armed forces against any external or internal threat facing the country.

“This great sacrifice of Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed reminds us that our freedom and sovereignty are due to the sacred blood of our martyrs,” he added.

Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Saturday reshuffled three senior police officers, assigning them key operational and administrative posts with immediate effect under a notification issued by the Office of the Inspector General of Police.

According to the notification, DIG Law and Order, Training and Discipline Muhammad Ateeque Tahir will continue in his current post and will also hold the additional charge of DIG Headquarters until further orders.

Capt (R) Hamzah Humayun, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed SSP Operations, Safe City. He has also been given the additional charge of SSP Law and Order and Training. Following his appointment, CTO Kainat Azhar Khan and Muhammad Ateeque Tahir have been relieved of the additional charges they were holding.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Shoaib Masood has been appointed AIG Establishment, replacing Syed Inayat Ali Shah, who has been relieved of the additional charge.

The notification further said Shoaib Masood would also hold the look-after charge of SP Rural Division until Flight Lieutenant (R) Zeeshan Ali returns from special duty.

Islamabad: Superintendent of Police (SP) City Zone Dr Ayaz Hussain on Sunday visited churches and Imambargahs in the federal capital to review security arrangements and ensure effective deployment of police personnel at sensitive places of worship.

An official told reporter that the SP Ayaz inspected security measures at various churches and Imambargahs and reviewed the overall security preparedness on the ground.

Ayaz checked the deployment of police personnel and assessed security arrangements to ensure the safety of worshippers and visitors.

The SP Ayaz directed officers on duty to remain alert, maintain a high level of vigilance and ensure the effective implementation of all security measures.

He emphasized that police officers should perform their duties with professionalism and respond promptly to any security-related situation.

Islamabad: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced the weekly deployment schedule of its Facilitation Vans from July 6 to July 12, enabling citizens to access a range of traffic and police-related services at different locations across the federal capital.

An ITP official told reporter on Sunday that the mobile facilitation service would operate daily from 8: 30 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m., providing facilities including Police Station (PS) on Wheel services, missing report registration, character certificates, learner permits, driving licence renewal, duplicate licences and duplicate driving test sheets.
