Jazz launches affordable UAE Data Roaming bundles

Islamabad: Jazz, Pakistan's leading digital operator, has introduced affordable UAE Data Roaming Bundles, providing seamless connectivity for Pakistani travelers and the diaspora in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Minister discusses promotion of local industry with chairman GBC

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, held a meeting with Chairman of Gujranwala Business Center (GBC) Ahmad Akram Lone at his camp office on Monday. Matters of promoting local industry and contributing to the economic development of the country came under discussion. The central topic of the meeting was "Made in Gujranwala" (MIG), emphasizing the need to introducing Gujranwala's local industries on the global stage and create business opportunities for them. During the meeting, Ahmad Akram Lone informed the provincial minister about the activities at GBC and the benefits of the "Made in Gujranwala" enclosure, emphasizing the importance of provincial government's support for the industrial growth of Gujranwala.

Arora emphasised that the development of local industries in Pakistan was crucial not only for the country's economy but also for creating numerous employment opportunities. He said the establishment of GBC and the planning of the "Made in Gujranwala" enclosure were significant steps in strengthening the local economy. Ahmad Akram Lone informed that the purpose of GBC was to work for the economic development of Gujranwala's industrial sector. GBC operates under the Ministry of Industries and Production and is focused on promoting the business sector of Gujranwala, one of Pakistan's fastest-growing industrial cities, in line with modern demands.

The minister was also briefed about the "Made in Gujranwala" (MIG) enclosure, which was Pakistan's largest permanent display facility showcasing the best industrial products of Gujranwala under one roof. It includes 52 active displays across 30 different business sectors, including ceramics, sanitary ware, cookware, sanitary fittings, textiles, motors and pumps, household goods, rice, and more. The MIG enclosure not only provides a platform for displaying the latest advancements and products from Gujranwala's industries but also serves as a vital platform for knowledge exchange and cooperation among industry leaders and trade organizations. International diplomats, trade bodies, and representatives from the Joint Chamber of Commerce regularly engage with GBC to enhance international trade and further strengthen economic cooperation with Gujranwala's business community. Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora accepted the invitation to visit the "Made in Gujranwala" enclosure, expressing his intenti on to visit Gujranwala soon and engage with the local business community.

24-Year-Old girl Killed in DI Khan Shooting over verbal dispute

Dera ismail khan: A verbal quarrel escalated into a tragic incident when a suspect opened fire after climbing the wall of a rival's house, resulting in the death of a 24-year-old girl here in Kot-Lalu area.

According to police, 61-year-old Gulistan Gandapur, a resident of Kot-Lalu reported to Daraban police station that he was present at his home when accused Qayyum Sherani son of Atta Muhammad, armed with a firearm climbed over the wall of their home and opened fire with intent to kill his son named Sadiq-ur-Rehman. He said that Sadiq survived the attack; however, Gulistan's 24-year-old daughter, Amna Bibi, who was standing at a room's door, was struck by the gunfire and died on the spot.

The tragic event was reportedly triggered by a verbal dispute and exchange of abusive language between Sadiq-ur-Rehman and Qayyum the previous day.

The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.

Minister stresses importance of political consensus, unity among parties

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh Monday expressed optimism about the ongoing negotiations between the government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, hoping that these talks will yield positive

outcomes.

In an exclusive Interview with PTV news channel, the Minister for Maritime Affairs stressed the need for political consensus and unity among parties. He urged politicians to rise above petty politics and prioritize the country's

well-being.

He called upon all parties to put aside their differences and work together to address the nation's challenges.

The Federal Minister has commended the Speaker of the National Assembly for taking the initiative to facilitate negotiations between the government and the PTI party. Sheikh emphasized that both parties must demonstrate flexibility to ensure successful talks.

Responding to a query, Sheikh emphasized that the PTI's willingness to engage in talks should translate to their behaviour in the National Assembly.

He stressed that the party should allow parliamentary proceedings to unfold smoothly, just as they have done in these negotiations.

This, he believes, is essential for serving the greater interest of the people, who are pinning their hopes on the country's political parties. By doing so, Sheikh hopes to see a more constructive and collaborative environment in the National Assembly.
