SARGODHA: In a significant step to strengthen food safety enforcement in the Sargodha Division, the Punjab Food Authority has conducted a comprehensive training program for its officials on Thursday.According to a press release issued by PFA office, the training, conducted in collaboration with the police department and prosecution, aimed at equipping food safety teams with the skills to build stronger legal cases against violators of food safety regulations.All Deputy Directors and Food Safety Officers from across the Sargodha Division participated in the training.The sessions were led by DSP Legal and Deputy Prosecutors who provided in-depth knowledge on legal procedures, evidence gathering, and effective courtroom presentation.The primary objective of the training was to enhance coordination between the police and the food authority, ensuring seamless collaboration in enforcing food safety laws. By strengthening the legal expertise of food safety officials, the authority aimed to provide better leg al support to its teams, leading to more successful prosecutions against those who compromise food safety standards.This initiative was expected to have a significant impact on food safety in the region, as it empowers food safety officials to take decisive action against food businesses that fail to comply with regulations.
