SACM directs housing dept to encourage private housing societies to invest in KP

PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Housing Dr Amjad Ali on Wednesday directed the Housing department to encourage the private housing societies to invest in the province to meet the increasing housing demand. Presiding over the 27th meeting of the Housing Authority here, he said that societies like Jalozai, Mulazai, Hangu are need of the hour to make it easier for the people of the province to get their own house with all modern facilities. He said the housing department that reliance on government housing schemes would not help meet the fast increasing housing demand rather the private housing societies managed by KPHA should also be given opportunities to come forward and invest in the province. Dr Amjad Ali further said that employees of the government housing schemes that have been completed should not be made unemployed because they had successfully completed these schemes. The Special Assistant emphasized on improving the overall performance of the Housing Authority so that the common man could benefit from it. Earlier, Secretary of the Housing Department Dr Anbar Ali, Director General PHA Imran Khan Wazir and other relevant officers gave a detailed briefing to the CM's aide about the ongoing housing scheme projects in the province.
