MUZAFFARGARH: Rangpur Police registered a case against eleven persons for stealing water directly from canal near 4R-morgah No.45850 here on Thursday.
According to police sources, SDO Irrigation Muhammad Qasim Ali Waris put an application with police that eleven farmers were found involved in stealing water directly from the canal.
He mentioned in the application that the farmers have been asked time and against not to violate government instructions regarding theft otherwise strict action would be taken against them.
Case has been registered against Shafiq, Atiq, Rehman and eight others over the water theft, police sources added.
