Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that 13 sites involved in uploading of blasphemous contents had been blocked in the court.

The official said that one first information report (FIR) was registered, inquiry continue on two other complaints while one case was shifted to police for action.

Justice Aamer Farooq, hearing the case, expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of FIA and asked that what action had been taken against the responsible persons. The court remarked that the agency should have resolved such matters itself before reaching the complaints to the courts.

The court observed that a common man could not get FIRs registered in the current system.

It asked that 13 sites were blocked what about the remaining four sites.

The court instructed the FIA to submit report containing inquiries on all complaints against uploading of blasphemous contents.

The hearing of the case then adjourned till November 2.
