BUREWALA:Municipal Corporation and Tehsil Council sealed 21 illegal housing colonies during a crackdown launched here on Friday.
In line with special directives of Deputy Commissioner Vehari Mubeen Elahi, the Municipal Officer Regulation Muhammad Waqas Gujjar under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Umer Farooq launched a crackdown against illegal housing colonies. The team sealed 17 illegal housing colonies in the city and four in Tehsil.
The officers said that the owners of these illegal housing colonies have not sought legal approval from the concerned departments. The administration has also imposed ban on sale and purchase of plots of these colonies.
The district administration has also decided a high-level investigation against these colonies for declaring land of these colonies as agriculture land and using for commercial purpose.
