FAISALABAD: A minor boy drowned in canal near ‘Burj Mandi’ on Tuesday.
According to Chak Jhumra police here, 3-year-old Qaisar s/o Tasawar, resident of chak 02-JB Burj Mandi, was playing at the bank of canal when he accidentally slipped and drowned in deep water.
On receiving information, divers of Rescue-1122 reached the spot and fished out the body after a long search operation.
The victim was handed over to heirs after completing necessary formalities, said police.
