RAWALPINDI: Raising the tally of confirmed cases 3780 as four more patients were tested positive for the deadly dengue virus at two public sector hospitals of Rawalpindi city during last 24 hours.
District Coordinator Epidemics Prevention and Control (DCEPC), Dr Sajjad Mehmood, Tuesday said that among the new patients, the Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) had registered three while one case was registered with Holy Family Hospital(HFH).
“This year, around 3780 dengue cases were brought to the allied hospitals of the city, who were provided with the required treatment and 3776 discharged after recovery, including 2011 from HFH, 1198 from BBH and 571 from District Headquarters Hospital, ” he added.
Dr Sajjad informed that two patients were in a critical position at HFH while dengue fever cases had dropped drastically with the change of weather conditions during the last two weeks.
