Adventure Foundation Pakistan president passes away

ISLAMABAD: Alpine Club Of Pakistan (ACP) On Thursday announced the passing on of the founder president of Adventure Foundation Pakistan Brig Jan Nadir Khan.

“With a very heavy heart and deep sorrow we announce the passing on of our beloved and revered founder president of the Adventure Foundation Pakistan Brig (R) Jan Nadir Khan, ” ACP Secretary Karrar Haidri said in a statement issued here.

He said Jan was a true patriot and a lifelong believer and promoter of turning youth of Pakistan into leaders through outdoor pursuits. “Jan also fostered a whole village at Dhodial for orphan children and his contribution toward developing leadership qualities in the young will always be a motivating factor for everyone who came into contact with him, ” he said.

Haidri said Jan was a dad to many in the SOS village that he adopted at Dhodial. “He was a father to those children. To all of us he was a man of principles and an inspiration to an entire generation. He will remain in the souls of young Pakistanis for a very long time, ” he said.
