FAISALABAD:Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Islamabad has invited online applications for admission in 2-year MA/MSc programmes.
Regional Director AIOU Prof Dr Bashir Ahmad Sameem said on Monday that earlier, the High Education Commission (HEC) had prohibited the universities from offering admission in 2-year MA/MSc programmes but now due to corona pandemic, the HEC allowed the universities to offer admission in MA/MSc programmes this year.
Therefore, the AIOU invited online applications for admission in various MA/MSc programs including Urdu, History, Arabic, Islamic Studies, M.Com, Teaching of English Foreign Language, Library & Information Sciences, Distance & Non-formal Education, Teacher Education, Educational Planning, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Botany, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Administrative Sciences, Economic, Sociology, General & Women Studies, Mass Communication, Pakistan Studies, Public Nutrition, Forestry Extension, Sustainable Environmental Design and 1-year M.Ed.
Eligible students can submit their admission applications online up to December 06 while university fee can be paid through designated bank branches, jazz cash, easy load, U-mobile app, retailer agent or e-payment.
AIOU prospectus is also available on the website www.aiou.edu.pk while more information can be obtained from university helpline or regional campus during office hours”, he added.
