ISLAMABAD:Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) here on Thursday trained local doctors on cervical cancer with an aimed to educate them about latest methods of cervical cancer screening.
The doctors were also imparted advanced knowledge about the measures for prevention of fatal cancer, said a press release.
The workshop was jointly organized by the Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital and Islamabad Medical and Dental College,a Continuous Medical Education (CME) training on the topic of “Methods of Cervical Cancer Screening”.
Head of ANTH, Gynecology and Obstetrics Department, Professor Dr. Bushra Kant, conducted this workshop which was facilitated by Dr. Afnan Rizwan, Dr. Maria Tariq and Dr. Afshan Zaman.
A large number of gynecologists attended the workshop and expressed that they got first-hand knowledge about the cervical cancer screening, prevention and treatment.
Managing Director ANTH & IMDC Yasir Khan Niazi, Executive Director Col (R) Ghllam Mujtaba Abbasi and Director Hospital Dr. Areej Nyazi were also present on the occasion.
The management expressed that the hospital will keep conducting more such workshops to train doctors.
