PESHAWAR: The district administrations of Nowshera and D.I.Khan on Wednesday launched fumigation drives to counter dengue mosquitoes.
Deputy Commissioner D I Khan, Arifullah while presiding over a high level meeting at his office regarding preventive measures against dengue mosquito directed departments concerned to utilize all available resources to counter the problem.
The district administrator maintained that every citizen was equally responsible to ensure cleanliness and remove standing waters in their surrounding areas to minimize its breeding chances.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Nowshera, Reza Ozgen told journalists that the district administration has launched fumigation drives against dengue in different areas throughout the district. He said the officials concerned were also deputed for creating awareness among the residents for ensuring their environment clean and smooth flow of water.
