HYDERABAD:A total of 54 male and female students of different departments of the Faculty of Dentistry of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro Friday received top ten best students of their respective disciplines.
The Vice Chancellor LUMHS Prof. Dr. Ikramuddin Ujjan who was the chief guest at the award distribution ceremony gave awards to these meritorious students in presence of their parents. These male and female BDS students have who showed outstanding performance in their respective disciplines of the Faculty of Dentistry.
The Vice Chancellor highly appreciated the efforts of giving awards to meritorious students adding that such step will boost the performance of the students. The LUMHS students have great potential of competing with the students of other medical universities of the country, however there is the need to provide them opportunities so that they could earn good name for their institution, he added.
Besides giving award to meritorious students, the Vice Chancellor also gave the Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Sabuhi Ghani and LUMHS Pride of Performance Award to Aamir Shaikh, Umer Daraz, Sharif Baig and Ghulam Haider Panhwar. The Dean Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Feroz Kalhoro and Additional Registrar LUMHS Dr. Saroop Bhatia also received shields from the Vice Chancellor.
