LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar on Wednesday said that sexual assault and molestation of children and women would not be tolerated at any cost as strict action would be taken against the accused.
He lauded the performance of all the members of investigation team for speedy action and arresting the involved accused within record time.
An award distribution ceremony was held at Capital City Police Headquarters where the members of investigation team were given commendation certificates and cash awards for their excellent performance.
The CCPO along with SSP Discipline Mubashir Makon distributed appreciation letters and cash awards among the officers. Ghulam Mahmood Dogar gave appreciation letter to SP Investigation Essa Sukhaira, whereas commendation certificates and cash awards were distributed among DSP CIA Javed Siddique, SHO PS Sabza Zar Asad Abbas, In Charge Investigation Chung Inspector Umar Daraz, In charge Investigation Shershah Colony Amir Riaz, ASI Ghulam Abbas and Head Constable Mohsin Manzoor.
CCPO said Lahore police remained successful to arrest the two accused involved in rape, assault of a woman and her daughter within few hours.
