LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Additional IG Fayyaz Ahmad Dev visited Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday to inspect the security and traffic arrangements made for the forthcoming matches of Pakistan Super League, PSL-7, starting in the provincial metropolis from Feb 10.
DIG Operations Dr Abid Khan, City Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Muntazir Mehdi, SSP Operations Capt (retd) Mustansar Feroze, SSP Security Rashid Hidayat, SP Model Town and administration of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) were also present.
The senior police officers briefed the CCPO Lahore regarding the security and traffic arrangements. The CCPO inspected the security arrangements at different entrance and exit gates of the stadium and issued directions for strengthening the arrangements further.
More than 8, 000 police officers and officials would be deputed for the security purpose. Four-layer security arrangements would be made for players, officials and the citizens, he added.
