ISLAMABAD: Chairman Overseas Forum Shahid Raza Ranjha on Thursday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was committed to give voting right to overseas Pakistanis who can play pivotal role in country’s politics.
Talking to PTV news, he said that overseas Pakistanis were asset of the nation as they deposited record remittances this year and could impact more by voting right in the polls.
He said this initiative would bring positive changes as they were more aware and updated through social networking.
He said, there were many constituencies in Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Mandi Bahauddin districts from where more than thirty thousand voters live abroad and can play prominent role by electing representatives.
He also requested the government to complete procedure as soon as possible to ensue the right to expats.
