RAWALPINDI: Chairman, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Tariq Mehmood Murtaza on Tuesday directed the officers concerned to complete the ongoing projects within shortest possible time frame.
Chairman, RDA Tariq Mehmood Murtaza and Director General (DG) RDA reviewing progress of development projects directed the authorities concerned to make all possible efforts to provide relief to the citizens.
Chairing a meeting held here at RDA office, the Chairman also directed the authorities to spread awareness about legal and illegal housing societies.
He directed the RDA officials to work hard and show dedication to address grievances of the general public.
The Chairman directed Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate (MP&TE) to continue crackdown on illegal and unauthorized constructions and encroachments without any discrimination.
Director Land Development and Estate Management briefed the meeting about RDA’s own properties, approval of building plans of residential and commercial buildings and other projects.
DG RDA directed the officers concerned to formulate a plan as soon as possible to utilize vacant plots of RDA.
The chief engineer briefed the meeting about different schemes of engineering directorate including widening and reconstruction of Dr Qadir Khan Road, improvement of Dry Port Road from Rahimabad Flyover to Airport Welfare Complex and Chaklala Railway Station, Shell Depot and construction of three underpasses at Airport Road.
The chairman appreciated the officers on completion of Dr Qadir Khan Road project under fast track policy to provide relief to the citizens and stressed the importance of fast and quality work on the three underpass projects including Ammar Chowk, Defense Chowk and Kutchery Chowk.
He directed the Engineering Directorate to work hard to complete the ongoing projects within shortest possible time frame. “We should increase the working hours and efforts to alleviate the hardships of the common people, ” he added
Director Admin and Finance RDA, Asif Mahmood Janjua, Chief Engineer Amir Rashid, Director MP&TE Jamshed Aftab, Director EM Saima Younis, Director LD Malik Ghazanfar, DD Finance Muhammad Junaid Taj Bhatti, DD IT Dawood Khalid and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
