LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Tuesday made the Tourism secretary an ‘officer on special duty’ (OSD) and suspended other staff over absence from duty.
He issued these directives during a surprise visit to the head office of the Tourism Department here on Tuesday. He inspected attendance of the officers and other staff and expressed his indignation over absence of the staff.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that coming late to office was a negligence and legal action had been ordered against them.
He said he would visit every department to check the staff attendance and their performance.
