Court adjourns LNG reference till Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court (AC) on Tuesday adjourned LNG corruption reference against former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others till tomorrow.

Abbasi’s Lawyer Barrister Zafarullah continued his cross examination with witness chief engineer sui southern gas company Farhan Umer. He stated that he had been serving on the said post since 2016.

He said that he had not signed on the statement which was recorded before National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s investigation officer. He, however, said that he had signed the seizure memo. The court adjourned further hearing till Wednesday.

AC-II Judge Muhammad Azam Khan heard the case.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and other accused appeared before court along with their legal team.
