DIR LOWER:The district administration here Thursday launched crackdown against encroachment in both sides of River Panjkora and bulldozed several illegal structures there.
On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retd) Owan Haider Gondal, Assistant Commissioner Timergara Tahir Ali, Additional Assistant Commissioner Sadique Ahmed, Tehsil Municipal Administration Sadiq Ahmed and Irrigation Department officials conducted crackdown against encroachment on both sides of River Panjkora and removed several illegally built structures there.
The action has been taken after encroachers failed to obey the orders following issuance of notices to them by the district administration.
Assistant Commissioner Tahir Ali said encroachment around River Panjkora was unacceptable as it was adversely affecting the smooth flow of water and warned strict action against violators of the government orders.
