KHANEWAL:Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Sherazi on Monday ordered officials to speed up work on all ongoing development schemes in order to facilitate masses.
Presiding over a district development committee meeting, Sherazi said that schemes must be ready on time pleading that Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was paying special focus on development of South Punjab. He said that different schemes have been initiated by the provincial government to facilitate masses of underdeveloped areas.
He directed officers concerned to complete due legal formalities for starting up new development schemes.
He said that there would be no compromise on quality of material and added that strict action would be taken against the contractors if found involved in undue delay and using sub-standard material in the development projects.
He said that no negligence would be tolerated in completion of development projects and involved officers and contractors would face the consequences.
