QUETTA:Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zhob Shehak Baloch on Monday said that the performance of polio workers was commendable and polio would be defeated in the last phase.
He expressed these views while addressing an award function in honor of polio workers on World Polio Day. He said the role of media was also important in the eradication of polio.
WHO’s Dr. Zark Mandokhel said that Zhob was one of the high risk areas for polio due to its location at the border.
Meanwhile, SP Fahad Khosa, DHO Immunization Officer Dr. Akhtar Ali Baloch, Dr. Amin of N Stop, DHCS Nazir, Samad Harifal, Maulvi Qutbuddin addressed the function. Certificates of appreciation and awards were distributed among polio workers, officers and media representatives.
