FAISALABAD: Deputy Commissioner Ali Shehzad has asked assistant commissioners to ensure strict implementation of price control mechanism in accordance with the government directives.
Presiding over a meeting to review price control mechanism on Tuesday, he ordered for setting up Insaf Sasti Shops/ counters at mega marts and superstores besides ensuring sale of basic commodities at fixed rates.
He said that prices of fruits and vegetables including onions, potatoes, peas, tomatoes should be checked indirectly and the prices of any commodity should not be unduly increased. He said that assistant commissioners should continue their regular visits to vegetable markets and continue monitoring implementation of fixed prices of fruits and vegetables.
The DC also reviewed the performance of revenue department and ordered for expediting the campaign for recovery of government dues. He also ordered for ensuring issuance of fard and other land documents to the applicants without any delay.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Fazal Rabi Cheema, Assistant Commissioners Omar Maqbool, Syed Ayub Bukhari, Faisal Sultan, Mohammad Zubair, Numan Ali and Mohammad Haider besides DO Industries Shahbaz Khan, Extra Assistant Director Agricultural Marketing Mohammad Usman and other officers were also present.
