SUKKUR:Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Javed Ahmed on Friday sought suggestions from the public to improve the condition of graveyards in their respective areas.
In this context, the Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the district administration in ridding the cemeteries of encroachments and land mafia.
The administration of all the talukas has been directed to survey the cemeteries so that their rehabilitation plan can be completed under the supervision of DO Planning.
He said that millions of rupees were being provided to the District Sukkur for repairing boundary walls, funeral yards, drainage systems, and lights in the graveyards.
