SIALKOT: Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Tahir Farooq said that no compromise will be made on the quality and speed of development projects. Completing all ongoing development projects within the stipulated time frame is the first responsibility of local authorities and contractors of construction agencies.
He expressed these views while reviewing the pace of work on the Kashmir Road Sewer Pipeline project and issued instructions to the concerned authorities and contractors.
Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to work day and night to jazz up the work on the project.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the work on desilting of Nallah Bheed, green belts and street lights on Wazirabad Road.
He directed that cleanliness should be ensured under the bridges constructed on Nallah Bheed so that the flow of water could be ensured and during the monsoon rains the drainage of water in low-lying areas could be ensured.
He said that saplings should be planted for beautification along with Nallah Bheed.
DC also directed concerned officials to install the street lights at earliest.
