PESHAWAR:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Housing, Dr Amjad Ali Monday said the devolution of power to grassroots level would ensure socio-economic uplift in the province.
Addressing a consultative meeting of the Village Council (VC) Odigram in the provincial assembly constituency PK-6, he said local bodies’ poll and formation of local governments can easily pave the way for the resolution of socio-economic problems of the people.
For the second phase of local bodies’ polls, the provincial minister as per vision of the Prime Minister stressed on the policy of “Select Your Candidate”.
He said that for the second phase of the local government polls, he has already participated in a consultative meeting with the Gujjar tribe and notables of the Tehsil Kabal to further accelerate the pace of development schemes in the locality.
