ISLAMABAD: Director General Army Sports Directorate, Brigadier Zaheer Akhtar visited Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Complex and discussed various matters with the management of PTF pertaining to tennis promotion in the country.
According to a press release issued here infrastructure development, player development JTI programme (a specific programme for Army Public Schools) and education of coaches came under discussion.
The possibility of holding Army schools and colleges competition at PTF complex was also discussed. The holding of national ranking events by the armed forces and hosting of the South Asian Games in Pakistan were discussed.
The DG Army Sports Directorate assured all possible assistance and cooperation to the PTF for the promotion and development of tennis in Pakistan, with special emphasis on player development and coach education.
