MULTAN: Pakistan Railways Divisional Superintendent(DS), Naveed Mubashar, conducted personal hearing of jailed cabin man, Sadiq Hussain, for Rs 5 million robbery case in a freight train.
A spokesperson for PR Multan division said that Sadiq Hussain requested the DS in black and white for 15 days relaxation for his reply.
He informed that some four or five months back currency of State Bank was stolen from a goods train bogie after desealing it.
Railway Police Sama Satta had registered an FIR and apprehended Sadiq, he said and added that Rs three million was recovered from cabin man’s home.
He said the department had issued Sadiq show-cause notice after police sent his challan to Central Jail Bahawalpur.
The Superintendent Jail, Shehram Tauqir felicitated Mr Mubashar for personal hearing, he concluded.
