ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill Monday said Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)’ leadership should forget National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) as PM Imran Khan is committed to recovering looted national wealth from plunders at any cost.
“PDM’s top leadership during their tenures did nothing for the welfare of people, but only focused on building properties abroad and amassing corrupt money through telegraphic transfers (TTs) and fake bank accounts”, he said while talking to PTV news channel.
Gill said it is a historic step of PTI-led government in which it had set the tradition of presenting yearly performance reports before the public on regular basis.
He said the government has repeatedly invited the opposition to come forward and talk on pubic-related welfare programs and work collectively on bringing reforms in the parliament.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was the only leader who was pursuing a public service agenda, adding, If PDM has true affection for people, they would have to be focused on public service instead of resorting to corruption and getting on NRO.
“Not a single corrupt leader would be given an NRO or laxity during the tenure of Prime Minister Imran Khan”, he made it clear.
