SUKKUR:Deputy Commissioner Sukkur, Javed Ahmed on Friday said the government was committed to eradicate the polio virus from the country and the administration was making all efforts to protect the children from this crippled disease.
This he said in a meeting while reviewing the progress for the polio eradication efforts and activities in the district.
He said the district administration had taken special steps to get administer polio drops to all those children coming from other parts of the country at the entry points of Sukkur.
Those who attended the meeting among others were WHO representative, DHO Dr Jamil Ahmed MaharMahar, Rotary and other concerned officials.
